“The Money is in the List” is a popular Internet Marketing saying – and if you want to build a tribe – followers – friends – a list is strongly suggested – even if you don’t sell anything online.

1,000 Fans by Kelly Kelly is a Wired article that says all a band or group needs are 1,000 fans and you can be 100% supported by that 1,000

There are autoresponder software programs – that allow you to send a message to one person or a million – at scheduled intervals

A founding concept of Internet marketing is the Opt-in list – where you enter your name and e-mail address and then are sent a verification notice

You receive “for free” some report or video in exchange for your name and e-mail address

There is a privacy guarantee – that you will not be “spammed” have unwanted e-mails sent to your inbox

You can always opt-out – or have your name removed from a particular list and the sender is almost always 100% going to comply – you opt-out you never hear from them again

The concept is called “Permission Marketing” after a Seth Godin book bt the same name – you are asked permission before a marketer – or skilled tradesperson sends you anything

There is no need to worry about that $20 million offer from some Nigerian “son of a rich king”

The opt-in list is great to keep in touch with your prospects, customers and clients

Restaurants, haircutters, drug stores, Quiznos, etc., can keep in touch with customers and make them offers or give them interesting maybe valuable information

You should build your own list – the cost is approximately $20 per month – included in the $97 Marketing Special – but you can get this for free with ads

It is estimated that every person on your list is “worth” $1.25 ?? or so – and again, Internet marketers have a saying “The money is in the list” – you can make money from your list – working offline

When people in your targeted niche want to know something – want information – they are okay if not eager to give you their e-mail address

There are many instruction manuals, eBooks, videos, MP3s, etc. on all of the details of list making and autoresponders

You yourself probably subscribe to one or more lists – and are happy to get their info – and if they overdo it – or annoy you – just opt-out

When you build a list in a particular niche – you have something valuable to offer others – a list of dentists, let’s say is valuable to somebody selling dental information – they will “JV” or joint venture with you – paying you upwards of 50% of any sales they make to make an offer to your list

You will be shown how to set up a list, the autoresponder, and how to write sales letters – and how to set up a sequence

Ever notice when you opt-in you usually get an answer within minutes, often seconds – you get a response from the marketer – and you feel they “care” about you – they don’t keep you waiting.
